Dimplex Triton 1000 Water Vapour Fireplace

The Dimplex Triton 1000 is a striking Optimyst burner insert measuring 100 cm wide. Built for do-it-yourself installations, it lets you create your own water vapour fireplace as the centrepiece of a room.

Optimyst technology, developed by Dimplex, uses water vapour and LED lighting to create a genuinely lifelike 3D flame effect. Fireplaces using this technology are often called Optimyst fireplaces, hybrid fireplaces, or water vapour fireplaces.

Triton 1000 uses 7 flame nozzles positioned across the burner, generating a richer and more dynamic flame pattern than a single-source burner. The included resin log set, finished with real wood chips as a base and lit from underneath, adds to the realism.

Since Triton 1000 produces no heat, it fits well in newer, well-insulated homes where extra warmth from the fire isn't needed, but the cosy look of real flames still is. It requires no chimney or flue - only an electrical connection.

Multicolour Flames

Triton 1000 is equipped with multicolour LED lighting, so the flame effect can be adjusted between blue, violet, red and aquamarine, or blended into a custom mix using the Flame Connect app.

Flame height (6 settings) and flame brightness (5 settings, plus a pulsing high setting) can both be adjusted to suit the room and time of day, along with the volume of the built-in crackling log sound effect.

Water Connection

Triton 1000 can be operated either with the included refillable water bottle (approx. 8 hours of run time per fill) or connected to a fixed mains water supply, in which case the unit tops itself up automatically and never needs manual refilling.

Connect Multiple Units

Up to 10 Triton units can be daisy-chained side by side to create one seamless, elongated flame view. When linked, a single remote controls flame height and sound level across the entire installation.

Cleaning

The water bottle, sump, transducer caddy and air filter should be cleaned at regular intervals to prevent limescale build-up, particularly in hard water areas. Transducers are a consumable part and will need replacing periodically depending on use.
